All Creatures Great and Small

All Creatures Great and Small is an independent, locally-owned, and operated lifestyle store dedicated to natural health and wellness for cats, dogs, horses, and the people who love them! 

They have been bringing the latest and greatest products to our community for over 20 years and can’t wait to help you pick out something special for your best friends.

If you’re in the downtown Cobourg area, definitely stop in and say hello. All Creatures is a cute little store with a ton of selection for your pooch and other pets you may have.

I love their Instagram, they are very active and showcase the adorable pooches of Northumberland County.

Justin’s Pet Store

I may be a little biased here because I buy my dog food and supplies for Ollie from this awesome locally-owned pet supply store.

The service at Justin’s is excellent, no matter who is working, they always ask if they can help me as I walk through the door. 

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They will carry your heavy bag of food to your car as well if you would like them to. 

Another nice bonus is their loyalty program. If you buy 12 bags of dog food, you get one free. This equates to about one free bag of food per year for me. Not too shabby!

Since the pandemic started, Justin’s has offered free delivery to all of Northumberland County. This is a very handy service for senior citizens, people working crazy hours, as well as the rural communities who may not make it into town regularly.

Obviously, I highly recommend Justin’s Pet Store.

Raw Pet Food Supplies

The Raw Pet Food Supplies goal is to restore the natural diet your pet which he or she consumes in the wild. 

Providing healthy, 100% certified meats including beef, lamb, chicken, turkey, fish, rabbit, and more with no other gains or additives.

Their products are all locally sourced from local butchers and farms.

If you feed your pooch a raw diet, you should definitely check out locally-owned Raw Pet Food Supplies in Grafton.

Owner Robyn Craig started this company simply to feed her own, friends and families pets a healthy, fresh, raw food diet without the fillers and by-products.

They only provide 100% natural foods for the diet your pet desires. All of their products are certified with no additives.

I will be honest here, I don’t have much experience with a raw food diet, but if you provide your pet with a raw food diet, consider stopping in at Raw Pet Food Supplies next time you are in Grafton checking out the Co-op or arena!

As the name states, Raw 101 is a raw pet food supplier located in Cobourg. They actually have two locations: Cobourg and Toronto.

All of their pet food blends are made in-house at their Cobourg store.

Their products do not contain grain, corn, preservatives, colours, or artificial additives of any kind.

Their meat is Ontario sourced and always human grade.

As well, they use fresh, in-season fruits and veggies which change regularly so your pooch is getting a variety of nutrients. 

At Raw 101, they believe that dogs and cats are carnivores and are meant to eat raw meat rather than highly processed dry kibble and canned wet foods. 

They believe that a complete nutritional diet delivered through human-grade proteins, bones, organs, and elements from select vegetables and fruits is a superior diet for your pet.

Love Em’s Pets, Food, & Supplies

Love Em’s Pet Food & Supplies is an independent pet supply retail store located in Brighton, Ontario. They have been continually serving Brighton and the surrounding area for over 25 years.

They pride themselves on their commitment to doing everything they can to help customers with their needs. If they don’t have exactly what you’re looking for, they will do everything they can to try and get it for you.

While I have not personally visited this store, it sounds like a great option for those in the Brighton area to support a locally-owned pet store.

They must be doing something right if they have been in business for 25 years!

Peppers Pet Food and Supplies

Peppers is a brand new Pet Food & Supply store located on the bank of the Trent River by Lock 18 in the village of Hastings.  You can travel there by automobile, boat, foot, or snowmobile (seasonal).

Peppers is a great option for those who are Sunday driving out in the country and suddenly remember they need to pick up a bag of food for their pooch. 

They are a fairly new business and eager to serve their community well. 

Next time you are ski-dooing or boating through the beautiful hamlet of Hastings, be sure to check them out.
